Privacy Policy

Lifty ("we", "us") builds a weightlifting tracker and coaching platform. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using Lifty you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account: your email address (or Apple ID relay), display name, username, and optional profile photo.

Phone number (optional): if you add one, we store it on your profile so friends can find you by phone number. You can add, change, or remove it at any time.

Fitness data you create: workouts, exercises, sets, weights, reps, distances, routines, personal records, notes, and photos you add.

Social activity: friends, squads, challenges, reactions, comments, and captions you choose to share.

Usage & device data: app interactions, and — if you opt in — a push-notification token so we can deliver notifications.

Finding friends from your contacts

If you choose to use “Find friends from Contacts,” Lifty reads the phone numbers in your address book and sends them to our server only to check which numbers belong to existing Lifty users. This is a one-time lookup for that request. We do not store your contacts or their phone numbers, and we do not contact anyone on your behalf. You can decline Contacts access, and Lifty still works without it.

How we use it

To provide the app: store your workouts, sync across your devices, power progress charts, run challenges, and enable the social and coaching features you use.

To help you connect: an optional phone number on your profile, and the Contacts lookup above, let friends find each other. Phone-number matching is used only for friend discovery.

To operate subscriptions (Lifty Pro) and, if you use AI features, to generate routines from your request.

To send notifications you enable, and to keep the service secure and functioning.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run Lifty: Supabase (database, authentication, storage), RevenueCat and Apple (subscription processing), Apple Push Notification service (notifications), and Anthropic (only the text/image of an AI routine request you initiate). Each processes data on our behalf under their own terms.

Sharing & visibility

Content you post to the social feed, leaderboard, squads, or challenges is visible to your friends or squad members. Your private notes and workout details are not shared unless you choose to share a workout. You can block other users, and you can report content for review.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Account → Delete Account in the app; deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, control what you share, disable notifications in iOS Settings, and delete your account. For any request regarding your data, contact us.

Children

Lifty is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
